Gerwyn Price comfortably moved through to the quarter-finals of the Nordic Darts Masters on Friday night in Copenhagen. The Welshman breezed past Madars Razma 6-2 averaging 102.7 and hitting three 180s in the process.

Price moved three ahead in the tie early doors with a 100 finish to make it 3-0. the former world champion then hit the same finish to go 4-1 up, moving towards the brink and continued to press home his advantage. Razma continued adding legs to make it 5-2 before Price sealed the deal 6-2 with a 60 checkout on double 20 to move through with a 15-darter.

"I thought I started off pretty well, my scoring game was there early on and I sort of slipped off a little bit, probably because the way he was playing. He wasn't really up to scratch but yeah, I was just glad to get over the winning line," Price reflected in his post-match interview with Online Darts. "Looking forward to tomorrow now."

At the most recent World Series of Darts event, Price made it all the way to the final in New York, only to miss out on US Darts Masters glory to Rob Cross. "I know my game's in a good place I just need to take my chances a bit more and then the trophies will come," Price says, determined to get back to tournament winning ways sooner rather than later. "The last couple of months that hasn't happened, but hopefully over the next couple of months that will."

"I know I'm playing well. I mean last year I lost in the Premier League final, I lost in a couple of finals, but you know, you just need a little bit of rub the green sometimes and I haven't had that," concludes Price, who will face off against Dimitri van den Bergh in the quarter-finals of the Nordic Darts Masters later tonight. "But it won't last forever. They may as well take their chances while they can because when I'm back and taking my chances things will be different."
