This weekend marks the 13th edition of the
World Cup of Darts. Ahead of this tournament, Dartsnews looks back at notable events in the history of this event.
Weng Xie was a standout at the 2016 World Cup of Darts. He lost his single in the second round hopelessly against
Adrian Lewis (4-0), but managed to throw a 171 score against the two-time world champion.
And that was for everyone to know, as Xie went absolutely crazy after this score. Lewis could appreciate the happiness of his Chinese opponent and laughed himself. Jackpot was not out of his concentration, however, as he hit a double to win the next turn.
