With the World Cup of Darts now set to take place later this year, DartsNews looks back at one of the best known ties in the history of the tournament back in 2012.
It saw one of the dramatic ties in the history of the tournament; in which the final between England and Australia was decided via a sudden death shootout.
Phil Taylor and
Adrian Lewis took a 3-0 lead. Thanks to a victory from
Paul Nicholson on Lewis, Australia finally forced a pairs match.
The Australian duo won the team game and made it 3-3. An all-deciding leg was the deciding factor which country could eventually return home with the world title.
