Daryl Gurney two years ago had his career defining moment in the form of winning the World Grand Prix in Dublin, a tournament which many would say really started his rise.
With the double start tournament coming up, we take a look back at another classic final in recent memory which saw Gurney face off against Simon Whitlock.
Gurney won it in a close one 5-4 and became the first Northern Irish winner of a major tournament. It was also history due to it being the first time that no English player has reached the quarter-finals in a major.
