February was usually the month that the Premier League Darts would begin but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, that is not the case. As a result, DartsNews takes a look back at some of the best matches and moments from previous years.
Our next moment to look back on comes from 2006 with Roland Scholten facing off against Raymond van Barneveld in the 2006 Premier League semi-final.
There was much anticipation about a potential Taylor v Barney final but Scholten quashed that with a finishing masterclass averaging 104.13 in an 11-3 semi-final win where he couldn't miss in the early stages.
While 'The Tripod' couldn't defeat Taylor for the title, he certainly left his mark on playoffs night.
