Benito van de Pas was one of three players to secure qualification for the 2020 PDC World Championship on Monday and he described it as one of the best days of life.
Van de Pas said that his strategy at the qualifier which took place in Wigan was to see all the players below him in the rankings go out and as a result he knew his Tour Card was getting safer.
'Big Ben' openly admitted that he has had a terrible year but that he is hoping to make something happen at the Alexandra Palace.
"This is one of the best days of my life," said van de Pas.
"I had to fight really hard but I was seeing people below me in the rankings go out and that was helping me to relax because I knew my Tour Card was getting safer.
"I've had a really bad year but this makes up for it. I'm there now and I have had some good times in the tournament so we will see what can happen."
