Van den Bergh on how he deals with nerves pre-match: "I drink a Dimi Special, that's what we call it"

Last Thursday Dimitri van den Bergh was a guest on the TV program De Ideale Wereld.

Many darts players like to drink something before the match to calm their nerves and Van den Bergh spoke about he deals with it.

"I drink a Dimi Special, that's what we call it. That's some Malibu with orange juice to combat the stress. If you can win a big tournament, it changes your life. I'm well aware of that and that causes stress. For me that's just right, because during a competition you focus a lot mentally and that can make you tired. With something to drink beforehand, you can sometimes finish a match fit," said Van den Bergh.

'The DreamMaker' invariably takes the stage to 'Happy' by Pharrell Williams. But what if someone else wants to use that walk on song too? "Then he has to get above me in the rankings. Apparently that is the rule. I didn't know that at first."
