For
Vincent van der Voort, the PDC
World Darts Championship is over. The 47-year-old Dutchman went down 4-3 in the third round against Luke Humphries.
"I'm fed up with my own level, it just wasn't good enough," Van der Voort opened to Dartsnieuws.com. "I've worked really hard at practice over the past few months and today I managed to do it in fits and starts, but it was hugely inconsistent. Especially my first dart was poor, it was regularly closer to the double twenty than to the triple. I still tried everything, but it just wasn't to be today."
Finding solution
"It was really a battle with myself today," Van der Voort continued. "I feel like I let myself down, because there was so much more in here. In any case, something has to happen towards the future then, either changing my darts or throwing more smoothly."
