Dirk van Duijvenbode has convincingly qualified for the last sixteen of the
German Darts Grand Prix. 'Aubergenius' was too strong for Callan Rydz in the second round, 6-3.
Van Duijvenbode threw no less than seven 180-scores. "Those were particularly needed, because Callan was also throwing excellent. I took my chances when I had to and that gives confidence for the rest of the tournament," said the 30-year-old Dutchman.
Crowd
As in recent weeks, Van Duijvenbode could once again count on the support of the German public. "That I am the most popular Dutch darter in Germany? I don't know. But the audience is great: 'Ich liebe dich' (I love you)," he spoke to the jubilation of the German audience.
