Van Duijvenbode beats Van der Voort in final of exhibition tournament in Hastings

Dirk van Duijvenbode won an exhibition tournament Saturday night at the expense of compatriot Vincent van der Voort.

The two Dutchmen were involved in Hastings, England, home of former world champion Rob Cross. 'Voltage' was not there himself. In addition to Van der Voort and Van Duijvenbode, Luke Humphries, Simon Whitlock and Bobby George were also in attendance. George played some legs with the audience, while the other four played a tournament among themselves.

Van Duijvenbode won 4-2 over Humphries in the semifinals, while Van der Voort brushed aside Whitlock with the same figures. In the final, Van Duijvenbode then proved too strong for Van der Voort, 4-0.
