Michael van Gerwen will play the PDC
World Darts Championship for the 16th time later this month. The 33-year-old Dutchman will be looking for his fourth world title there.
Darts Orakel, a platform that deals with all kinds of data and
statistics, came out with some striking stats about Van Gerwen.
For example, 'Mighty Mike' has not lost a single match in the past decade in which his opponent threw below a 100 average. It remains to be seen whether that remarkable run will hold up at the upcoming World Championship. Van Gerwen starts his campaign on Wednesday, December 21 and meets the winner of the match between Niels Zonneveld and Lewy Williams in the second round.
