Van Duivenbode produces upset win against Whitlock, Shepherd impresses in victory over Tabern

Simon Whitlock has yet to live up to his favourite tag on Night 11 of the PDC Home Tour losing out in his opening match to Mike van Duivenbode.

Whitlock lost out in a 5-3 defeat to the young Dutchman giving him a potential uphill task when it comes to winning the group with two out of the three remaining games including the Wizard.

For Van Duivenbode though who hit three 180's and 5/12 on his doubles, his brilliant start was soon apprehended as he was defeated by Alan Tabern in a 5-2 defeat as the St Helens ace hit three 180's and a 97.6 average.

This in itself dispelled Tabern's bad start who lost out to an impressive display from Kirk Shepherd who averaged 100 with three 180's and 5/8 on the doubles. Could the former World finalist find his way to glory tonight?
