Van Gerwen sees signs of improvement despite defeat: 'I felt a lot better than in last few days'

Michael van Gerwen lost 8-4 to Gerwyn Price on Night Eleven of the Premier League Darts and dropped to the fifth place in the standings.
However Van Gerwen was remarkably positive despite his defeat, when he spoke to Dutch darts broadcaster RTL 7. ''I felt a lot better than in last few days. Of course I'm not happy with the loss, but I'm looking forward with a good feeling to the remaining nights of the Premier League.''
''Especially scoring-wise it was a lot better then the past few days'', the 31-year-old Dutchman added. ''Just my doubles needs to be better. Despite a checkout percentage of 23% I still averaged almost 100, so the areas for improvement are clear.''
