Gian van Veen impressed Saturday afternoon at the
European Darts Matchplay by throwing an average of 114.15 in his match win against Damon Heta (6-0).
With this performance, the 21-year-old dart player from Poederoijen immediately broke a very special record. Van Veen became the youngest player ever to record an average of over 110 on the
European Tour, according to figures from the statistics platform Darts Orakel.
By the way, Van Veen's average was not even his highest average at the PDC. During a Development Tour tournament in 2022, he already recorded a monstrous average of 115.92.
