Brendan Dolan became the second player to throw a nine-dart finish at Players Championship 25 on Wednesday. Earlier in the day, Gary Anderson was also responsible for a perfect leg.
Unlike Anderson's nine-dart finish, Dolan's perfect leg was on display on one of the streaming boards. 'The History Maker' achieved his feat in his quarterfinal against Martijn Kleermaker.
After three legs, Dolan was down 1-2 against Kleermaker, but the Northern Irishman then started the fourth leg with scores of 180 and 177. Dolan then rounded off with a 144 finish for the leg win. It proved to be the turning point in the match, as Dolan ran out to a 5-2 lead and eventually prevailed 6-3 against the Dutchman.
