Since retiring from top level darts,
Wayne Mardle has become a well respected commentator and analyst for British broadcaster
Sky Sports.
Hawaii 501 as he's known, also user his expertise to provide some expert coaching to various darters. In the past, for example, former PDC Tour Card holder Devon Petersen has called on his services for many years.
On his own Youtube channel, alongside betting company William Hill "
Club 501," Mardle also gives some important tips online for the beginning darter. For example, in the video below, he explains that a comfortable throw is the beginning of everything. "You want a stance that is comfortable for you," he says in the Mardle's Masterclass series.

"The way Phil Taylor threw wasn't comfortable for me, but it was for Phil. So you've got to find your own comfort zone," continues the four time World Darts Championship semifinalist. "You find where you a comfortable, but you have to be able to replicate it. A good way to do that, obviously practice, but comfort is key."
"It's all about relaxation and again, comfort," continues Mardle, using the throw of two time World Darts Championship winner Gary Anderson as a prime example. "It's all about freeing up your shoulder, freeing up your chest and making yourself feel relaxed and comfortable."
