James Wade will make his return to the Champions League of Darts this weekend in Leicester with his usual mindset of what will be, will be.
Wade said that he’s looking forward to it and that he is just going to see what happens over the course of the weekend.
‘The Machine’ added that from his perspective, he has the added facet that he’s a bit older so is a bit wiser than the younger players who it’s new to.
He will take on Michael van Gerwen to finish the first session of action in Leicester at the Morningside Arena on Saturday afternoon.
‘It’s been a while since I’ve played in this, maybe since the early days I’ve been told. I’m looking forward to it, it should be good,’ said Wade to Dartsnews.com.
‘You’ve just got to see what happens as long as you give yourself a chance to reach that far.’
‘I’m a bit older and a bit weathered so I go into every tournament wanting to win but what will be, will be.’
‘You have a different mindset to the younger players and you seem to realise that as you get older, you see excitement from the younger players because they’ve never done it before and it is new to them.’
‘For me it’s being more of a wise owl, I approach things a little bit differently.’
