Wade gives honest assessment after De Sousa draw: "I'm struggling at the moment, I'm not going to lie"

James Wade produced a comeback from 6-2 down to draw with Jose de Sousa who himself spurned multiple match darts in the process in a potentially pivotal win for his Premier League ambitions.

For Wade though, he gave an honest assessment following the match admitting he has been struggling as of late and that when he doesn't feel great, it doesn't produce his best darts.

"It's easy for them, it's hard for me because when my heart's not in it, it isn't in it. I'll be alright tomorrow because I've got to play a good dart player. I'm struggling at the moment I'm not going to lie," said Wade post match.

He also discussed going under the radar and in general not being the choice of the broadcasters and media.

"A lot of them are full of hot air and steam and that's what darts is about. It's always been like that. Let's not forget, I shouldn't have been in this so I'm smiling all the time anyway."
