Whitlock on potential retirement plans: "I know I've only got a limited time left in darts"

Simon Whitlock has been a stalwart of the game for a long time and has shown the ability to continue to get better.

But when asked about his desires at this point in his career, while he believes he can still play among the best, he has hinted at potential retirement in the coming years.

"You've just to look at my games, I can still throw 11 darters, 12 darters. It's just trying to be consistent is the main thing," said Whitlock.

"I'm more relaxed than ever now. I'm not bothered about rankings anymore. I know I've only got a limited time left in darts, maybe two years. I keep saying two years, I've been saying that for four years now but that sort of relaxes you and takes the pressure off."
