Luke Woodhouse in April last year became the first player to hit a nine-dart finish during the Covid era of sorts on the
PDC Home Tour.
He averaged 114 in a 5-0 victory over Gerwyn Price including completing the feat and speaking on the latest episode of the Darts Museum podcast, he looked back at that moment and the media frenzy that surrounded it.
"I didn't really think too much into it. It was great to hit and then the following week, I did two interviews a day. I did a radio interview, I did an interview with the Washington Post, I done an interview with the Darts Show on Sky. For the week, it was crazy," he said on Darts Museum podcast.
"If you was to hit one on telly or if you was to hit one on tour, you sort of think that's a big deal but because it was in my kitchen, I was listening for a call on my phone. You're waiting for the other person to throw their three darts so I hit it and then the stream goes on and I'm suddenly stood in my kitchen again."
