Peter Wright has looked ahead to the PDC Summer Series which kicks off this week and sees five Players Championship events take place.
But also in and among the ProTour action which is a happy hunting ground for Wright, he also has the
World Matchplay soon after as he aims to add the Phil Taylor trophy to his collection.
"I've got to the final before. I got too emotional with Phil Taylor, been very close in the past couple of years. I believe I can get to the final, I like the format. Going to miss the crowds, it's going to be horrible," said Wright to the PDC.
He has hinted at multiple sets of darts being brought to the Marshall Arena. "Obviously I'm looking forward to seeing where my game is before the World Matchplay. It's going to be a different environment, but at least we're playing darts and we're getting back to what we love and the viewers can still see us play and hopefully some big averages and nine-darters everywhere."
"I'll take a few different sets for me because you know me I'm always looking for an improvement. Milton Keynes has always been pretty good to me, obviously I've won the Masters this year.
I'll probably bring five different sets of darts with me, all five with different flights and stems and barrels."
