Wright on Durrant after securing Premier League survival: “That was really hard, he’s a fantastic player”

Peter Wright breezed past Glen Durrant 7-1 to confirm his Premier League Darts survival and relegate Rob Cross in the process.

Wright like many others was saddened to see Durrant’s darting woes and that came at the forefront instead of his survival.

“I’ve been told I’m safe so that’s a lot of pressure off tomorrow’s game. That was really hard playing Glen, he’s a fantastic player and to see him struggling like that,” said Wright to Sky Sports.

“I thought he was going to come back tonight because I watched his last two games and you see glimpses of the old Glen that’s coming back.”

He also spoke about tinkering with his darts admitting he does need to settle on one set.

“I’ve just got to learn to stick to one set of darts, obviously those aren’t the ones hopefully one day I’ll find a set of darts.”
