Peter Wright and
Rob Cross are the first two semi-finalists at the
Gibraltar Darts Trophy with 'Snakebite' impressing once again.
On Sunday afternoon, Wright hit an average of 108 against Ryan Searle in a 6-1 win while against Luke Humphries this continued with 105 and this was needed against 'Cool Hand Luke'.
He broke his throw but lost it after a 10-darter from Wright in the sixth leg. Wright then took the lead with a 14-darter and then throw another 14-darter to break Humphries for a second time before a blockbuster conclusion in the form of a `132 checkout.
Rob Cross will be the opponent in the semi-finals after he stopped the Rock with Josh Rock losing out in a 6-5 defeat in a game he chased throughout.
But after two missed match darts, he sealed the deal with a 98.5 average to move into the semi-finals with his first
European Tour title still a possibility.
