Wright wins Frankfurt Darts Slam after defeating Van Barneveld in final

Peter Wright claimed victory in the Frankfurt Darts Slam hosted last night by SAP at Palmengarten with him defeating Raymond van Barneveld in the final just days after his World Cup of Darts triumph.

The line-up included Wright, his World Cup winning partner Gary Anderson who he beat on route, BDO World Youth Champion, Leighton Bennett, Phil Taylor, Mikuru Suzuki, Rob Cross, Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld.

One of the big stories emanating from the event was Bennett who got revenge on Taylor for defeating him at the Power at the Tower event also hosted by SAP earlier on this year.

He claimed a 4-1 victory over the Darting legend before losing out to Wright in the semi-finals. 'Snakebite' ended up then defeating Raymond van Barneveld in the final who defeated Rob Cross in a closely fought affair in the semi's.
