Players Championship Finals to be played behind closed doors

The Players Championship Finals will be played behind closed doors this year. This has been confirmed by the PDC on Wednesday.

Due to the corona-pandemic, Butlin's Minehead Resort is unable to host the tournament. The PDC is looking for a new location for the Players Championship Finals. Earlier this year the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes hosted the World Matchplay and the Premier League Darts without crowd. In October, the Ricoh Arena in Coventry will host the World Grand Prix without an audience.

The 64 best players of the Players Championship Order of Merit participate in the Players Championship Finals. Traditionally, the final of the world youth championship is also on the schedule during this tournament.
