Cross and Durrant through to knockout stage at Grand Slam of Darts

Rob Cross and Glen Durrant both have booked their places in the second round at the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton.

Durrant defeated rival Nathan Aspinall in a straight knockout match. Both players averaged just over 86, but Duzza managed to hit his doubles, while The Asp missed all his six darts on the doubles.
Cross celebrated a hard-fought 5-4 victory over Jamie Hughes. The former world champion had a 4-1 lead against Hughes, but Hughes leveled in the eighth leg after Voltage missed six match-darts. Yozza kicked off the decider with a 180-score, but Cross took the win with a 72 checkout.
