Dimitri van den Bergh completed the lineup for the second round at the Belgian Darts Championship as he became the fourth Belgian player to win in front of his home crowd.
The two-time World Youth Champion saw off European Tour debutant Derk Telnekes 6-3 to move into the second round. Van den Bergh will meet Jamie Hughes on Saturday in the last 32.
Jeffrey de Egdom failed to get past Steve West, as the Belgian player only averaged 67 at his European Tour debut. West whitewashed him, despite only averaging 78 himself.
