Exactly. The main takeaway from this isn't whether Beau should have chosen WDF or PDC. The main takeaway is, it is absolutely appalling that she had to make a choice in the first place. She qualified for both tournaments on merit. The PDC are a total disgrace to have done this to her and other players as well. If they announce it at the start of the year it's different but this is a disgrace.05-10-2023 09:59

Fallon was set to qualify for Ally Pally anyway. Beau's spot will go to the PDPA qualifier. This changes absolutely nothing for Fallon05-10-2023 09:58

I agree, even though I think Humphries should be in it next year. But the players need to get on with it and not talk about the PL all the time.05-10-2023 09:57

It's Nandor. Also this was a huge historic moment as the first win for a Hungarian player on an Euro Tour stage.23-09-2023 11:40

Suzuki is not qualified for WDF Worlds. So Suzuki and Fallon will be the top 2 at Ally Pally if Beau plays WDF. And in that case it seems like her spot would not be offered to Ashton or O'Sullivan, whoever is next in line22-09-2023 10:34

Champions League, Masters, World Series, World Cup are not majors. Only non ranking event that can be argued as a major is the Premier League because of the huge prize pot and you have to be good throughout 17 weeks to win it21-09-2023 19:11

Every year these international qualifiers are a mess. These should be announced at the start of the year. Yes it's possible some circumstances change but players should have an idea what they are playing for. I don't agree with scrapping the South Europe qualifier. Countries like Spain, France, Italy, Greece, are relevant enough to have their own qualifier. In a field full of Dutch players they will have a very limited chance.21-09-2023 19:09

This would be a disgrace. Spots dedicated to women should stay with women. The spot is not for a specific player but women's darts. If Beau decides not to play it should not be a PDPA qualifier taking her place. Same for all the other international qualifiers. PDPA qualifier should never be more than 2 spots unless it's unavoidable. Tour card holders already have 64 spots in the event, plus many of them are eligible for other qualifying routes as well.21-09-2023 19:06

But Matt it's you who made her have to take that decision! It's totally ridiculous to announce it in September when Beau has already qualified for both events on merit! Fair enough if you announce it at the start of the season (I would still disagree with it) but this is just madness. You gotta know the criteria in advance as a player21-09-2023 19:04

Honestly I thought Fallon might be missing out but she came back and beat Beau in the last event. Really impressive. I really hope we see 3 women at the Palace19-09-2023 17:47
