Neil Duff produced a remarkable comeback coming from 3-0 down to see off Jim McEwan and reach the semi-finals of the 2022 WDF
Lakeside World Championship.
Duff called it demoralising not doing a lot long but always knew that he could seal victory when he got his first set.
"I'm over the moon. I think they're going to get a new shirt and call me Lazarus from now on. I came from nowhere there. When I came out of the break from the first two sets, I didn't think I'd actually done an awful lot wrong. I kind of felt I was being outdone by being two sets down," said Duff to Tungsten Tales.
"Once I got that set back, I started to snarl and I got angry with myself and I started speeding the game up. I'm just glad to put a show on, the crowd out there when they're watching a game like that they're getting value for money."
"His doubles were absolutely on point. He was taking out the 140 and it was demoralising me. But thinking I'm strong enough, I was able to refocus and settle myself. I walked out on the stage and said I'm taking this to the last set."
"As soon as I got the first set, I knew I could win. I'll enjoy watching it back. It was a funny old game in the end."
