Jimmy van Schie takes sixth WDF title of the season, Aileen de Graaf takes third consecutive win in Brugge

Jimmy van Schie was once again successful on the WDF circuit last weekend. The Dutchman won the WDF Belfry Open, taking his sixth title of the season in the process. Earlier this year, Van Schie had already captured the title at the Catalonia Open, Italian Grand Masters, Romanian Classic, Swiss Open and the Team X-Treme Open.

Van Schie had qualified for the final of the Belfry Open by defeating Alfred Muscat (4-2), Demi Sijbrands (4-0), David Debrael (4-0), Nico Plovier (4-2), Gylian Surgeon (4-2) and Wesley Plaisier (4-0). Van Schie then dealt with compatriot Corne Groeneveld (5-4) in an exciting final.
For the ladies, the title went to Aileen de Graaf, who also managed to win the Belfry Open in 2022 and 2023. De Graaf defeated successively Nanako Shimizu (4-1), Adriana Van Wijgerden-Vermaat (4-3), Lerena Rietbergen (4-3) and Priscilla Steenbergen (5-3).

I think if he stuck around the BDO he definitely would have been World Champion, should have won in 2014, he never really showed any of his talent in the PDC. - This is exactly what I mean,littler survives the 1st round,I think you'll find a lot of other players did. Can you just report on the real sport,and not just 1 person. I like Luke,but this is getting boring now,as Kevin painter once said to Taylor!! The sport is about every player,not 1 who everyone seems to have put the sport on the map.,which he hasn't,he's just got in when the money is massive.
