Geert de Vos wins his first WDF title since 2017, Noa-Lynn van Leuven takes ladies' title

Geert de Vos seized the title at the WDF Bruges Open in the Belgian city of Bruges on Saturday. For the 42-year-old Belgian, it is his first WDF title since 2017.
He also won the Bruges Open that year, while De Vos also won the England Masters that same year. 'Foxy' reached the semifinals of the 2024 Bruges Open by defeating Liam Maendl-Lawrance, among others.
In the semifinals, De Vos faced Kai Fan Leung, who was swept aside 4-3. Alexander Merkx was the other finalist, after Merkx won 4-2 in the semifinals against Wesley Plaisier, the number one on the WDF ranking. Merkx took a 2-0 lead in the final, but then saw De Vos take five legs in a row for the title. The Belgian recorded a 140 finish and an 11-darter. De Vos' average finished at 87.84.
The women's tournament turned out to be a triumph for Noa-Lynn van Leuven. She made it to the final by dealing with Gina D'hondt (4-0), Silke Lowe (4-0), Adriana van Wijgerden-Vermaat (4-2) and Anca Zijlstra (4-0). In the final, Van Leuven faced Priscilla Steenbergen, who had eliminated Sora Takagashi (4-1), Elisa Schollaert (4-0), Aileen de Graaf (4-3) and Lerena Rietbergen (4-2). The final was won 5-3 by Van Leuven. 
There were also sections for participating youth players. The boys category was won by Kendji Steinbach, who was too strong for iago Longa Y Galdo in the final 4-1. Paige Pauling successfully defended her title in the girls tournament, defeating Kira Mertens (4-1) in her final.
