BIRTHDAY TITLE FOR HEDMAN! Deta Hedman makes up for the disappointment of yesterday's Irish Open Final, defeating Corinne Hammond 5-2 to win the 2021 Irish Classic. That's Hedman's fifth title of the season and the 220th of her career.
Shaun McDonald and Deta Hedman won the singles tournament at the WDF Irish Classic in Killarney on Sunday.
McDonald saw off Josh Rock in a 5-3 victory after previously seeing off Brian Raman in the semi-finals. The Scot had defeated Diogo Portela in his semi-final.
While in the ladies, Hedman won the title on her 62nd birthday. She eased past Corrine Hammond 5-0.
