Menzies berates performance despite Warren win: "He basically handed it to me, I think I stood in a big pile of luck to be honest"

Cameron Menzies came through in a 3-0 win against Wayne Warren to make the Quarter-Finals of the 2022 WDF Lakeside World Championship but despite that, he berated his display and said that he was lucky to win through.

"If you would have told me, I'd win 3-0. I would have bite your hand off but I am actually gutted how I played. I felt poor, I didn't feel up for it. He basically handed it to me on a plate. I'm buzzing I won the game but I played poor," he said to Tungsten Tales.

"It's all about the win, I'll take that. I was lucky, he gave me so many chances. I ain't denying it. I'll take the positives somehow."

"He battered me scoring wise, he was consistent, he was very good. I've known Wayne for years and he's always been one of those players I adore and I've got a lot of respect for him but sometimes you get a wee chance but he gave me chances and everyone else. He must of given me 20 or 30 chances, I think I stood in a big pile of luck to be honest."
