Paul Lim successfully defends WDF title in Mongolia

Paul Lim has won the Ulaanbataar Open for the second year in a row. In the final of the WDF tournament in Mongolia, he won 5-1 over Royden Lam with an average of 84.74.

The 70-year-old darter from Singapore managed to win over Yoshihisa Baba (4-3), Batbold Tumurchudur (4-2) and Alain Abiabi (4-2), among others, on his way to the Ulaanbataar final.

Earlier this week, Lim had already reached the semifinals of the Mongolian Open. As a result, he earned a total of 62 points for the Asian-Pacific qualifying race for entry into the WDF World Championship at Lakeside. Lim topped that ranking, allowing him to dream of a return to Lakeside where he managed to throw a historic nine-darter in 1990.
