Van Peer wins WDF Swedish Masters in Malmö, double for Greaves in women's tournaments

Berry van Peer and Beau Greaves won the WDF Swedish Masters in Malmö on Sunday. For Greaves, it was her second singles tournament win of the weekend.

The 19-year-old had already won the Swedish Open on Saturday. The Swedish Masters was also a success for Greaves, who was too strong for Kirsi Viinikainen in the final, 5-2.

Van Peer captured his second WDF title of the season, having already taken victory at the Dutch Open earlier this year. The Dutchman triumphed after an exciting final 6-5 against Liam Maendl-Lawrance.

Maendl-Lawrance now has basically qualified for 2023 Lakeside and the same can be said for his 2024 hopes too. That is if he doesn't claim a Tour Card next year or if PDC players are not allowed the dispensation, he qualifies for the PDC version through the German Super League.

Van Peer has qualified for the 2023 edition, but won't play the 2024 edition likely as he is top of the Challenge Tour with a Tour Card nearly certain to be incoming.
