After a hiatus due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the WDF (World Darts Federation) has been unable to host events with plans only released for future majors such as the World Masters.
But they have revealed that their global ranking system will resume from June 2021 onwards with the Gold graded Denmark Open also added to the calendar for October.
In June, the Canterbury Open and New Zealand Masters will take place on June 6 and 19 respectively. While in between, the Gibraltar Open and Cherry Bomb International are set to take place in the former country and the USA.
In addition, tournaments are further scheduled in Serbia, Slovenia and Russia as well as a youth weekend in Hungary between June 11-13.
As previously confirmed, the Dutch Open and World Masters in particular which are platinum events are taking place in September and December ahead of the WDF World Championship.
As well as the aforementioned Denmark Open being added despite no WDF World Cup taking place this year. The men's and women's champions of the following events will get direct spots for the World Championship.
SEP 3-5 : DUTCH OPEN (Platinum)
SEP 10-12 : ENGLAND OPEN (Gold)
OCT 1-3 : DENMARK OPEN (Gold)
OCT 15-17 : BRITISH OPEN (Gold)
OCT 22-24 : WELSH OPEN (Gold)
NOV 13-14 : IRISH OPEN (Gold)
DEC 2-5 : WORLD MASTERS (Platinum)
KOREA OPEN (TBC)
AUSTRALIA (TBC)
USA (TBC)
There will also be silver events on the aforementioned weekends as well as events in Northern Ireland, Hungary, Malta, Czech Republic and Italy. With bronze events set for Catalonia, Russia and Latvia.
All of which alongside the Hong Kong Open, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and USA give players the opportunity for World Championship and World Masters qualification whether outright or through play-off spots.
