Adams surges past Gulliver in superb clash to complete World Seniors Champion of Champions semi-final line-up

It will be Richie Howson v David Cameron and Leonard Gates will face Martin Adams on Sunday afternoon at the World Seniors Champion of Champions.

This after Adams surged past Trina Gulliver in a 10-7 win which saw 'Wolfie' surge to the finishing line after initially being 7-6 down winning four legs on the spin to claim it and is the only legend to move through.

Adams stormed into a 3-0 lead with Gulliver getting her first leg on the board at 3-1 and despite initially fluffing her lines, ‘The Golden Girl’ was given another opportunity to cut the arrears and took it at 3-2 down with double six at the first interval.

On return from the interval, Adams hit 96 to go 4-2 up. Gulliver held to make it 4-3. She broke throw to level it up at 4-4 but Adams was straight back on double eight for 5-4 and was throwing to go into the next interval 6-4 up.

But instead Gulliver levelled up and hit a 13-darter to lead at 6-5. It was soon levelled with double 16 by Adams but she started the next leg with a 180 and held for 7-6. Adams held from there at 7-7 and he broke to turn it around in his favour 8-7. He went one away at 9-7.

Going 140, 137, 180, Adams left 44 and despite missing match darts, he returned to seal the win.
