The curtain comes down on the World Seniors Darts Championship for 2023 with Tungsten Time set to conclude on Sunday evening at the iconic Circus Tavern.
Four players remain on the stage where legends played and darting history was made and is still being made with two unseeded players and two of the favourites still in the running.
Richie Howson counts on local support and being the most dominant player on the WSDT Tour with five titles but faces Leonard Gates who barring Robert Thornton has statistically been the best player in the tournament.
'The Soulger' who has been warmed to by the crowd for his superb dance moves saw off Darryl Fitton this afternoon and will look to bookend a superb weekend with glory in Purfleet joining fellow North American winner in Canadian ace David Cameron who sealed the Masters last year.
Winner of two of the majors was Robert Thornton who dumped out favourite Scott Mitchell, Neil Duff after initially seeing off Roland Scholten. Only losing one set all tournament, he has emerged as the man to beat.
But don't count out Kevin Painter. 'The Artist' lost out to Thornton last year and will have one eye on revenge. Seemingly on his way out against Mark Dudbridge, he found a way and his trademark snarl and could produce a masterpiece alongside Thornton tonight.
The format goes up tonight with best of seven sets, first to four for both the semi-finals and final.
Evening (7pm GMT)
Semi-Finals
Richie Howson v Leonard Gates
Kevin Painter v Robert Thornton
Final
Howson/Gates v Painter/Thornton
