"I didn't see the point": Adams didn't think of bidding on Men's World Championship trophy after sharing moment with Gulliver

Martin Adams shared an emotional moment with Trina Gulliver MBE as she was reunited with the BDO Women's World Championship trophy that she won 10 times after defeating her at the World Seniors Champion of Champions.

"Such a great moment for Trina and for ladies darts. The people that managed to get that trophy I can't thank them enough. They thought it was the right thing to do and I totally agree with them. Absolutely brilliant that they managed to acquire it," he said to Online Darts.

For Adams, he didn't think about attempting to purchase the title he won three times and said he had hopes they would be immortalised in a museum instead of their sad state.

"I had hopes when the BDO for the better term failed, I was hoping those trophies would be donated to a museum somewhere, maybe the British or V&A Museum. The creditors want their pound of flesh or silver.

"I didn't see the point my name is on that trophy and I'll always remember that, yes I won the trophy three times and I knocked the handle off."
