The first set went the distance with it going to a last leg decider but ‘The Asp’ struck first pinning a 120 checkout to take the set. He took the next set hitting double 20 after hitting a 180 in his final leg to take it 3-1. Anderson got back into it though clinching the third set three-one to close the deficit to only one set. In the next set, Aspinall broke the throw of Anderson after the latter missed six darts at double 12. He claimed that set hitting a pinning double 10 to go one set away. Anderson claimed a early break of throw in the following set but Aspinall got it back hitting a 87 finish to go one away from a huge victory. Aspinall made a poor start to the leg though leaving the door open for Anderson to claim the set.
