Rob Cross has claimed a brilliant win to continue his World Championship defence with a straight sets victory over Cristo Reyes.

A 101 average with five 180’s and 55% on the doubles were highlights for the World Champion. Cross romped to the first two sets with Reyes offering little resistance to the World Champion. This included a 126 checkout on the bull as ‘Voltage’ surged into life in his second game. Reyes went two-one up in the next set but Cross pulled the set back but he still needed to break Reyes to win the set. He did so pinning double ten to go one set away from a straight sets victory. Reyes went seven darts into a nine darter as he broke the throw of Cross in the early going. He broke back though straight away smashing in a 147 checkout. From there he eases to victory though showing that despite his form this year he is still very much the man to beat. for more information about the PDC World Darts Championship, including schedules and the prize fund breakdown.
