In news announced by the PDC today, the Champions League will have a new venue for this year. The event broadcast on the BBC will be moved from Cardiff to Brighton after the Motorpoint Arena in the Welsh capital staged the event for the first few years.

The Champions League will include Mensur Suljovic as well as the top seven next in the Order of Merit. This means Rob Cross who hails from Hastings will walk out in front of his home crowd.
The venue they will be using is familiar to the PDC with it being used up until this year for the Premier League. Berlin replaced it but with this announcement Brighton will still have PDC darts coming to town.
It is not known whether Cardiff will be used by the PDC again but today’s announcement will be good news to Brighton who like alluded to lost the Premier League to Berlin.
