Chris Dobey will have a huge test tonight as he looks to ruin Phil Taylor's final World Championship at the Alexandra Palace. 'Hollywood' has admitted 'it would be a dream' to be considered in the same sentence as Alan Shearer, Paul Gascoigne and Kevin Keegan and as a result is setting his sights on a seismic shock.
He has said he has 'the game to beat anyone' and will be hoping to show that tonight in what will be a blockbuster night at the World Championship with the rising star of PDC darts Rob Cross also in action in the last game of the night after the game between Dobey and Taylor and a prelim between Seigo 'The Ninja' Asada and Gordon Mathers which kicks off proceedings

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
