GLASGOW DURRANT1

The final two matches in the opening session of the Dutch Darts Masters are complete with Glen Durrant and Danny Noppert easing through to the second round in Zwolle.

Durrant didn't have to be at his best to see off Alexander Merkx winning in a 6-1 win which included a 88 average from 'Duzza' which was compared to a 77 average from his debuting opponent.
Noppert took on Harry Ward the most recent first time winner on the tour and despite both averaging in the early 100's, it was 'Noppie' who smashed through the Swadlincote ace 6-1.
Ward's main strength came on the scoring as expected with him hitting 5 180's but 50 percent on the doubles for the Dutchman ensured a smooth passage through.
'Big H' on the other hand was only allowed to the board 3 times during the contest to go for a double and hit 1/3 of his attempts en route to the defeat.
