Wesley Harms reached the knock-out stage at the Grand Slam of Darts on Tuesday night after a 5-4 victory over Keegan Brown.

The Dutchman produced a huge celebration after the hitting the winning double. When talking to Dutch broadcaster RTL 7, Harms explained why he was so extremely happy. ''I don't want to offense people, but BDO players are called amateurs often'', the two-time Lakeside semi-finalist said. ''How I mean that? Well, the media is regularly labelling us as amateurs. Maybe our prize money is lower and some of us are working behind their darts career as well, but that doesn't mean we are amateurs. I hope they change their mind and think we shouldn't underestimate these BDO players.'' 'Sparky' awaits a heavy task in the second to reach the quarter-finals of the tournament in Wolverhampton. Two-time world champion Gary Anderson will be his opponent on Thursday night. ''I have shown in patches that we can compete with the PDC players. Honestly I think I can play even better then I did against Brown. I did the right things on the right moments, but I have to play more consistent.''
