Max Hopp and Michael Smith have moved up in the Euro Tour Order of Merit after winning the event in Saarbrucken for the former and getting to the final for the latter.
’The Maximiser’ has shown some good form so far reaching the Quarter-Finals in Munich and now winning his first event. This in turn puts him up to 2nd.
Smith goes up to 5th behind the likes of Hopp, Wade and Wright with the latter two despite departing early on retaining their positions.
Good runs for the top 8 so far mean that barring any miracles in terms of other first time winners, they will all be in Dortmund for the European Championship.

- It happens. Remember, anyone who has watched German and Dutch players in matches - their respective countries will have seen/heard just as bad jeering (if not worse). - Was watching an old World Masters final the other day between Eric Bristow and John Lowe, the crowd respect for both players on throw was first class, not a sound. You can imagine now the idiots who were whistling on De Deckers throw proudly boasting about it on social media.
