Max Hopp made history this past weekend becoming the first German player to win a PDC ranking event. He defeated Michael Smith in the final 8-7 to do so in an incredible weekend for him.
This success will also lead to a spot at the World Matchplay, World Grand Prix and potentially the Grand Slam meaning further rewards for the Maximiser.
He spoke afterwards saying no one can imagine what this means to him as well as that he will not change his attitude now he is a ranking winner.
“No one can imagine what this success means to me" said Hopp," A terrific weekend, everything just fit.
“As for leaderboards, a lot has changed for me today. But I will not change. My attitude has carried me"
