Jeffrey de Zwaan had a brilliant return to form last weekend at the Players Championship and he has continued where he left off by putting in a sensational run to win Development Tour 5.
De Zwaan edged out Geert Nentjes in a 5-3 victory in the final and on the way hit seven consecutive ton plus averages. This included a 112.2 in the semis and 109.4 in the final. As a result his tournament average was 104.19. Given this performance who would bet against ‘The Black Cobra’ claiming a double today in Wigan.
Wigan hosts the second of five weekends in this year’s PDC Development Tour, which will each feature four £10,000 tournaments for players aged 16-23. The likes of Jeffrey de Zwaan, Luke Humphries, Bradley Brooks, Mike de Decker and Dawson Murschell have entered these events.
