ITV and PDC have continued their long standing partnership by agreeing a new deal which will see ITV broadcast the 5 tournaments it has done for a while alongside continuing the World Series events until 2020.
They will cover The Masters, UK Open, European Championship, World Series of Darts Finals and Players Championship Finals with the first two forming the start of the year and the latter two forming the end of the year before the Worlds.
Barry Hearn spoke of his delight of keeping ITV on board in an interview after the announcement on Sunday evening.
"ITV have been huge supporters of the PDC in recent years and it's fantastic news that they have extended their backing of these five tournaments through to 2020," said PDC Chairman Barry Hearn.
"Through these five events, they are showcasing the diversity of top-level darts from the very elite in The Masters to the 'FA Cup of Darts' at the UK Open, where amateur players get to compete against the top names, while the World Series of Darts Finals is a breeding ground for the international stars of the future.
"We're hugely excited about the growth of the PDC and professional darts worldwide, and we're delighted that ITV will continue to play a key role in that."
