Justin van Tergouw did a great job in reaching the final of the Preston Guild Hall Classic, a exhibition tournament in England. The 17-year-old Dutchman made the final after winning Simon Whitlock and Raymond van Barneveld. Both games were won by 4-3. The game against 'The Wizard' was a close one in particular with all legs going within fifteen darts. At the bottom of the schedule, Danny Noppert removed his compatriot Vincent van der Voort from the tournament. A second victory for the Frisian didn't occur though; Michael van Gerwen was too strong with a 4-3 win in the last four. In the final Van Gerwen and Van Tergouw met each other. The best player of the current generation against the best player of the new generation. 'Mighty Mike' did not have a surprise loss and won 4-2 in the all dutch affair.
